The Contest:
The Contest runs from January 1st 2011, 2011 to September 1st 2011 inclusive (the "Contest Period").
How to Enter:
There is one way to enter:
(1) Visit www.greatestgolfjob.com by September 1st 2011 (the "Contest Deadline") and complete all mandatory contest fields on the online entry, including name, email address, and day time telephone number, and a link to your video, and receive one entry by clicking "Submit". Each person is subject to a limit of one entry by this method. No purchase necessary.
Eligibility:
To be eligible to enter, you must be a resident of Canada and have reached the age of majority in your province or territory of residence. You are not eligible if you are an employee, representative or agent of Merit and Bruce's, or a member of the immediate family or household of any such persons.
The Prize:
There is one (1) prize available to be won consisting of 16 days of golf heaven with an all expenses paid vacation as well as a $10,000 gift for you and your sidekick.
The winner and his/her travel companion must have the legal right to leave Canada and to return to Canada and must have the legal right to enter and leave the destination country to which they are bound. They are fully responsible for obtaining, at their own expenses, all documentation necessary for the trip as required by the authorities concerned, including, but not limited to, visas, passports, vaccinations and certificates. These shall be obtained before departure. The winner and his/her travel companion shall comply with the contest validity dates and accept the alternatives proposed by Merit and Bruce's, if this proves necessary. No extension of any stay will be permitted. Merit and Bruce's reserve the right to offer comparable destinations in the case of force majeure or in the case of any other irresistible and unforeseeable circumstances. In any event, Merit and Bruce's may elect to offer comparable destinations at their sole discretion. All expenses not expressly included herein, including expenses not booked through Merit and Bruce's before travel, such as any air taxes and surcharges, personal expenses incurred by the winner before or after booking, are not included and are the responsibility of the winner. Winner is responsible for obtaining all required travel documentation including passports, travel insurance etc. Prize is non-transferable, may not be converted into cash and must be accepted as awarded. Merit and Bruce's reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the Prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason. No changes in travel arrangements will be accepted once booking is confirmed.
Travel must be completed by December 1st, 2011. The winner shall respect the validity dates of the promotion and will be subject to the terms and conditions contained in the Merit and Bruce's Golf Vacations Brochure.
Air travel to destination where the hotel is located will be exclusively on flights booked by Merit and Bruce's. Reservation is subject to availability at time of reservation. Taxes, airport fees, custom duties, entry fees, tourist cards, surcharges, insurance charges, personal expenses and travel documentation are not included in the prize. Merit and Bruce's Travel strongly recommends that travel insurance be purchased at time of reservation as a measure of added protection.
All personal expenses are the responsibility of the winner and his/her travel companion.
The Selection:
On September 10th 2011, the selection committee meet at 111 Peter St., Suite 200, Toronto, Ontario to review all eligible entries received before the Contest Deadline. A potential winner (and 3 back-up entrants in case the winner cannot be contacted or is not eligible) shall be selected. The entrant whose entry is first selected and has been identified as a potential winner will be advised as of DATE in Toronto, Ontario and will be notified by phone. If Merit and Bruce's, acting reasonably, cannot contact the selected entrant within two weeks of the draw date, or if such person is contacted within that time but is otherwise ineligible or did not comply with the Contest Rules, Merit and Bruce's will then make reasonable efforts to contact the first back-up entrant within two further weeks, failing which, the next back-up entrant, and so on, until a selected entrant is contacted and is found to be eligible and in compliance with these Contest Rules.
To Win:
The selected entrant must correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by phone at a mutually agreed upon time but within 21 days of that date the selected entrant was notified. If the selected entrant is not able to answer the skill-testing question then Merit and Bruce's will proceed to select a back-up entrant as set out above in the "Selection" section. All decisions of Merit and Bruce's representatives are final.
The selected entrant will also be required to sign a Declaration of Compliance and Release of Liability that confirms compliance with the Contest Rules, acceptance of the Prize as awarded, consent to publicity referred to below, and releases Merit and Bruce's, its affiliates, subsidiaries, parent and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies from any liability in any matter whatsoever as a result of or relating to the contest or Prize awarded. Declaration and Release documents must be returned within the period indicated on those documents or the selected entrant may be disqualified and the Prize forfeited. By accepting this Prize, the winner gives permission and consent to use of his/her name, address, photograph, voice in any publicity carried out by Merit and Bruce's and/or its agencies, without compensation and without limitation.
The selected entrant will be named the winner no later than September 20, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. (ET) and announced online at www.greatestgolfjob.com.
General:
All contest entries become the property of Merit and Bruce's. No correspondence will be sent by Merit and Bruce's except to contestants who are requesting Contest Rules by mail or requesting a list of winners (for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included). Merit and Bruce's are not responsible for entries that cannot be submitted or are void for any reason whatsoever. By entering, each entrant agrees to abide by the Contest Rules. Merit and Bruce's reserves the right to terminate or amend this Contest at any time in any way, without notice if any factor, in Merit or Bruce's sole opinion, interferes with its proper conduct as contemplated by these Contest Rules or makes continuation infeasible, subject. Only the Prize described in these Contest Rules will be awarded in this Contest. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
Data Collection:
By entering the contest and voluntarily providing his/her personal information, each entrant consents and agrees to Merit and Bruce's collection, use, and disclosure of the entrant's personal information for the purpose of administering the contest, including contacting any entrant in relation to the contest and disclosing the list of winners. Merit and Bruce's will not use an entrant's personal information for any other reason, nor will Merit and Bruce's otherwise disclose it to any third party. Only those employees and agents of Merit and Bruce's who require the entrant's personal information will have access to it. Entrants' personal information is kept at 111 Peter St., Suite 200, Toronto, Ontario and entrants' have rights of access to and rectification of their personal information.
